And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance of thy maidens .... Proverbs 27:27

We consistently strive to breed top quality animals that not only show well but also take their job seriously in the milk parlor. We participate in ADGA sanctioned shows, linear appraisal as well as DHIA milk test in order to improve our herd. I encourage everyone to participate in these wonderful programs if possible! I firmly believe the time and financial investment required will ultimately improve these majestic creatures. We carefully evaluate and select for milk production, fat and protein content in order to further the genetic quality of Tule Creek Nubians. Our hope is that this careful attention to detail will produce quality animals whose genetics will be referred back to for generations to come.

Our Story ...
Like many others, our farm began as a 4-H meat goat project for our kids in the early 2000's. With an eye on sustainability, we soon fell in love with a pair of Kinder goats from Jan Hodges of Serena Kinders. What began as a darling pair of Kinders soon blossomed into a herd of long-eared beauties that have captured our hearts forever. We began focusing strictly on Nubians in 2010 with the acquisition of Arch*Acres Festival. Festival, as well as her dam, 4B Supreme Revelry, still reside in our herd today.

Why Nubians? And Lamanchas. And ..... ???

Nubians have found a permanent place in our hearts, not only because of their quirky and loving personalities, but also because of their hardiness in the Texas Panhandle. Our climate ranges from hot, desertlike conditions to below zero fluctuations in the fall and winter (With a few tornadoes and floods in between!). Nubians are as versatile as the weather and have adapted well to the harsh conditions that the Panhandle is famous for.

While Nubians are our first love, we are slowly venturing into other breeds of dairy goats. In 2015, we were blessed with our very own "starter" herd of Lamanchas from Marshall and Trudy Losey. Our three lovely girls - Flower, Peach & Blaze - will be the foundation of our Lamancha herd. The fall of 2015 also saw a new beginning for our herd with the addition of several champion Toggenburgs from M's Sagebrush in Arizona. We are deeply indebted to Marshall and Trudy for their trust and generosity.

The winter of 2015 will forecast the addition of several award winning Saanens to complete the Tule Creek herd.

Herd Health ...

Herd health is a top priority at Tule Creek. We practice stringent policies concerning CAE/CL/Johnnes Tuberculosis& Brucellosis. Everyone is tested yearly and we are a 100% disease FREE herd. We have also testing for the G6S genetic anomoly and are pleased that to date, all of our Nubians are normal by testing or parentage. We will gladly furnish you the most current TVDML report when you purchase one of our herd members.
